Gibson United Methodist Church recently adopted a family for Christmas working through Methodist Home for Children. The family, consisting of four young children, will receive a large variety of clothes and toys on Christmas morning. We are grateful for the families of GMUMC for their outpouring of generosity in supporting the MH4C ministry.
Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church is heavily engaged in the Spring Hope community as witnessed in the recent ecumenical Thanksgiving worship service where several churches gathered. Rev. Williams offered the sermon for the service and the GMUMC choir offered several musical selections.
Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church recently visited A Touch of the Father’s Love, a food bank located in Nash County, where they donated quarts of Brunswick stew for serving families and veterans in our local community. Pictured below is April Baker, founder of the food ministry, with several of her volunteers. Grateful for those that came to Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church’s Blessing of the Animals Service this afternoon. A special thanks to the GMUMC Choir for their special music and to the Town of Spring Hope for their allowing us to celebrate in the Spring Hope Community Park.
